The firm.
A small advisory office arranging business capital in the United States. One adviser to a file, start to finish.
What we do
Two halves to the work. The first is reading a trading record and saying, without decoration, what it will carry. The second is placing that file where it stands the best chance. Silverbrook lends nothing of its own, and it does not operate as an enquiry exchange - your details are not auctioned to whoever is buying.
How the funding reaches you
The capital itself comes from funders we work with. Practically, that puts the agreement between them and the business, and puts the assembling, the reading and the arguing on our side of the table. It also means a refusal from one desk is not the end of a file - which is most of the reason an owner comes to an advisory office rather than walking into a single lender.
Who you deal with
One adviser holds a file from the first call to the last signature. Nothing is passed to a closing team, and nobody rings to re-ask what has already been answered. Cover, on the rare occasion it is needed, reads the file before dialling.
What we hold back from
- Invoicing anyone for the privilege of being assessed.
- Touching a credit file in order to reach an answer.
- Requesting the keys to an online banking session.
- Treating an applicant's details as a saleable asset.
- Naming a number that moves once paperwork is drawn.
Business purposes only
Trade only. Nothing arranged here is consumer credit, so no consumer protection reaches it, and none of it may be spent on a household. An owner whose real need is personal borrowing is at the wrong door, and a public page is a kinder place to learn that than the final screen of an application.
